Baldwin was a Black bisexual American novelist, playwright, & poet well known for his works about race, sexuality & class, often writing about the Black experience in America. A fervent activist, he and #LoraraineHansberry met with Attorney General, Robert F. Kennedy in 1963 about Civil Rights issues. In addition, he was also open about his sexuality, and he was very inspirational to the gay rights movement as many of his protagonists were Black, and gay or bisexual men. #LGBTQHistory #QTPOCHistory
