Congressman Mark Takano is Japanese-American and serves on the US House of Representatives for California’s 41st district. In 2013, Rep Takano became the first openly gay member of color in the United States Congress. He represents the people of Riverside, Moreno Valley, Jurupa Valley and Perris in the United States House of Representatives.
